Sword of the Stars: Argos Naval Yard Patch 1.7.2

When the call to arms goes out to humanity, it is the Argos Naval Shipyard that answers! War still rages across the Sword of the Stars universe and new ships, new technologies and new weapon systems are needed if mankind is to survive the rising threats in the galaxy. But the Liir, Hiver, Morrigi, Tarka and Zuul are not resting either and they too work to have more in their arsenals than ever before.



This update will provide various changes, fixes and additions!

FIXES:

· Fixed issue where the same tech could be offered for a science project more than once.

· Fixed issue where fleet icons were not displayed in the correct position on the star map.

· Fixed very long ship loading time on some 64 bit windows platforms

· Fixed issue with VN Berserker Disc is not tracking.

· Fixed Combat AI defender circling planet needlessly.

· Fixed bug where bribing an AI player set to Defend did not appear to improve relations.

· Fixed defender spawning in atmosphere of planet.

· Fixed AI jumping in and out of diplomatic states too frequently.

· Fixed issue where tracking weaponswould circle target center point endlessly.

· Docking assault shuttles no longer freeze the application for a noticeable period.

· Fixed crash when launching a Grouped Teams game where one or more team has a single player.

· Shields no longer persist after protectorate ship is destroyed.

· Fixed Progression Wars crash when sending a scuttling ship with the convoy.

· Fixed Progression Wars crash on the turn that a Grand Menace occurs.

· Fixed grouped teams not appearing next to each other on custom maps.

· Fixed crash when accessing design screen as Zuul after researching Drones.

· Political map no longer shows undiscovered player icons.

· Various ship section and weapon bug fixes.

· Fixed various ships section art issues.

· Fixed issues where long descriptions would not scroll correctly in text boxes.

· Fixed bug where a player could fall into huge debt very quickly.

· Fixed some tech tree textures.

· Fixed ER ships moving without engines.



CHANGES:

· Star systems can now be colonized if cease fire race is in system as well.

· AI's will consider NAP when they break Alliance instead of going to war footing as default.

· Dumbfire missile behavior in simulated combat more in line with reality.

· No longer allowed to board intangible enemy ships.

· Tarka Hunters no longer exploitable.

· Tweaks to AI research priorities.

· Pathing around DN's now improved.

· More accurate bounding spheres for Liir and Morrigi Dreadnoughts

· Point Defense weapons and Dumbfire Missiles now excluded from Strafe sections.

· AI now places greater priority on finishing off small empires.

· Ships in pursuit stance now follow targets more closely.

· Tarka Hunters no longer replaced by repair ships.

· Alterations to some Impactor sections.

· Liir Propaganda ship now "Propagandizes"

· Changes to some races asteroid monitor loadouts.

· Railcannons now an Anti-matter era tech.



ADDITIONS:

· 50 victory badges for Zuul and Morrigi

· INI setting to prevent modification of hardware gamma levels.

· Mini-Cluster Map

· Cubes Map

· Map type can now be selected for the Land Grab scenario.
